Apart from performing maintenance and repairs on the passive components and systems, the recording of such activity must form part of a site registered ESM activity within the year or to state their presence. In response MFP Smoke Management has invested in developing our own software which ticks both boxes!

Fire Dampers
Our proprietary software generates and tables the results of Fire Damper maintenance activities ‘on the go’ as per that prescribed by AS1851 and is built as the technician completes each Fire Damper maintenance and enters the results of each required test/inspection with tablet or mobile phone via the MFP App. The results are tabled in the form as suggested in the Standard and can be exported to excel or pdf. The App can also be used to create the required Fire Damper Register for later maintenance completion.
Further, the results can be exported in a Report clearly showing all images, inspection results, and any commentary made by the Auditor. Any non-conformance is automatically emailed to our office for immediate follow up.
Penetrations & Control Joints
Increasingly within the purview of Insurance companies and Auditors is a property’s Penetration Register to complete the site Passive Register. Each Fire and Smoke Wall penetration is recorded individually, and when a system or group, the number and type of penetrations forming such are listed in our software providing ease of comparison in subsequent years during Passive Inspections to check for additions. Each entry is entered via our App and generates the prescribed AS1851 Register to compliment the sites ESM Folder.
When MFP Smoke installs or has been engaged to make compliant existing penetrations, each is recorded by our software into the required AS1530.4.2014 Fire Stopping Register and to the site ESM folder to display the years activity.
